Privacy Policy

// CallGuard · Android · last updated April 01, 2026

The short version

CallGuard does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All information — the blocked call log and your settings — is stored exclusively on your device and never leaves it. There are no servers, no accounts, and no analytics.

This Privacy Policy describes how CallGuard (the "App") handles information when you use it, and explains your privacy rights. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

CallGuard automatically blocks incoming calls from numbers not saved in your contacts — silently, before your phone even rings.

Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

The words whose initial letters are capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions have the same meaning whether they appear in singular or in plural.

Definitions

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

The Data We Handle

Contacts

To decide whether an incoming call should ring through, the App checks the caller's number against your device's contacts. This check happens entirely on your device. Your contacts are never uploaded, copied, or transmitted anywhere, and the App does not store its own copy of them.

Blocked Call Log

When a call is blocked, the App records the phone number and the date and time on your device so you can review it later. This log lives only on your device. You can clear it at any time from within the App, and uninstalling the App removes it permanently.

On-Device Settings

Your preferences — such as allowed regions and whether screening is enabled — are stored only on your device and are never transmitted anywhere.

What We Do Not Collect

The App has no servers and makes no network requests for your data. It contains no advertising, no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, and no third-party tracking libraries. It does not use an advertising identifier (AD_ID). It has no login and does not create an account.

Permissions

Retention

All data is stored locally on your device and retained only until you remove it. You can delete the blocked call log at any time using the clear-log function in the App. Uninstalling the App permanently removes all associated data from your device.

Sharing and Disclosure

Because no data ever leaves your device, there is nothing for Us to share, sell, or transfer to third parties.

We may disclose information only if required to do so by law, or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect Our rights or property, prevent wrongdoing, or protect the personal safety of users or the public.

Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on your device's own security measures (screen lock, encryption). We encourage you to keep your device secured.

Children's Privacy

The App does not address anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided Us with personal data, please contact Us.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "last updated" date at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
